Film Review No. 3: Bardo, False Chronicle of A Handful of Truths
Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography pairs well with Mexican food.

The film looks at an acclaimed journalist Silverio Gama, and how he identifies as being a Mexican and telling the stories of Mexican migrants crossing the US border, usually imprisoned for either their attempt to cross the border or for committing a crime once across the border. His work is both celebrated and condoned at different parts in the film which is what probably leads him to say the throw away line, “My nationality is no nationality.”
